- What is it about Paddington that inspires so much good in people?
- How can we better support immigrants and refugees in society, especially during this difficult period?
Michael Bond’s iconic creation was beautifully brought onto the big screen by Paul King and is one of the most heartfelt, funny and touching films of recent years. It has a strong focus on kindness, civility, helping other people and seeing past external differences – something we think is going to be incredibly important as we look to come together during what’s going to be one of the toughest periods of our lives.
There are also some massively important messages about refugees and how important it is to welcome and help those in our community who feel alone and afraid in a new place.
The beauty of Paddington is the innocent warmth of the central character – Paddington Bear’s honest belief that there is value to every person no matter their circumstances or past is something that we all should look to replicate.
